Rooibos Tea (pronounced Roy-boss) which means 'Red Bush', has been popular in it's native Cederburg region of South Africa for generations, but is now enjoyed by tea-drinkers all over the world.
Made using the fine needle-like leaves from the shrub 'Aspalathus linearis' which are fermented and turn a red-brown colour. Rooibos when brewed has distinctive orange-red liquor.
It doesn't contain Caffeine and with it's natural sweetness and slightly earthy/nutty flavour, it could be considered a healthy alternative to traditional tea as it is packed with Anti-Oxidants.
Give this tea a longer brewing time (up to ten minutes) for a fuller flavour.
