Isn't loose leaf tea complicated to use?

Maybe you're put off because you think it's complicated?  Do you think that you need lots of expensive gadgetry?  Fear not, its actually quite straight forward.....

What equipment will I need?

  1. A vessel - Something to brew the tea in such a mug, a jug or a teapot

  2. A strainer - You'll need a tea infuser or a strainer

We made a short video showing how easy it is to use a Click-Spoon Tea infuser.

Apply the same principle to other types of tea infusers and hey presto!

Alternatively add your loose leaf tea to a pot, jug or teapot.  Pour on boiled water and leave the tea to infuse for 3-4 minutes.  Pour your steeped liquid into a cup or mug, remembering to use a tea strainer to catch all the leaves!  Hey presto, your tea is served.

How much tea should I use?

We would say approximately 1 heaped teaspoon of loose leaf tea per or 2 heaped teaspoons of a fruit/herbal tisane per mug/cup.  You can of course adjust this measurement to suit your own taste.
